Solution: Welding Technician
Who it is aimed at
The certification is intended to assess the qualifications of welders for fusion welding operations on semi-finished or finished products made from machined, forged or cast material types. The relevant Welding Processes and the relevant Material Groups are described in EN ISO 9606-1:2017 and EN ISO 9606-2:2004. Fully mechanised or fully automatic Welding Processes are not covered.
Certification process
The examination mechanism consists of a theoretical and practical examination.
Upon successful completion of the examinations (theoretical and practical parts), the professional is awarded a certificate of compliance. The ISO 9606-01 certification is valid for three (3) years and the ISO 9606-02 welder certification is valid for two (2) years.
The Certification process for this specialty is Accredited by the National Accreditation System (NAC), in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO/IEC 17024.
