The certification applies to the highest level of the professional hierarchy of administrative support staff, who, within an organisational hierarchical structure, through predefined instructions and procedures, undertake to carry out part or all of an organisation’s administrative office support tasks, under the guidance of a supervisor and with a view to the effective operation of the organisation. Administrative secretaries perform the same principal and individual professional tasks and functions as an administrative support clerk, but have a significantly greater degree of organizational and executive responsibility for developing initiatives and making decisions on the job.
